A Stone Mint Gunto Mounted Koto Yamato Tegai Katana With Paper By John Yumoto

This sword is from my personal collection.  It is a stone mint imperial Japanese gunto mounted koto Yamato Tegai katana with paper by John Yumoto.  The blade is made in Yamato Tegai tradition.  I belive it was made some time between the late 1200s & late 1300s.  The mounts are of the highest quality special order gunto mounts made.  The owners name (Okudera Yoshihira) is carved in the side of the tsuba.  His family creast is in the top of the Kashira.  This is the nicest set of gunto mounts I have ever seen.

The generals tassel in the photos on the bottom are not included in the price but can be included for an additional cost.
