WWII Marine Corps M1917 A1 Helmet
This is a great WWII issued M1917 A1 helmet. This helmet was bought from a picker who got it directly from the WWII Marine Vet. I am trying to get the the vets name from the picker. The top pin is missing so the liner is not attached by the shell. The early first pattern chin strap is intact. There is a white cross painted on the front which is WWII period done but I am not sure what it means. This helmet was the forerunner to the M1 helmets and was worn by the US Marines in the Pacific theater. $250
