A Minty US Transitional M1917A1 Helmet
A very nice WWII US transition M1917A1 helmet. Introduced in 1939 these helmets were only in use for a short time They were replaced early in WWII by the M-1 "steel pot" helmet. This helmet shell is marked ZF41. The leather liner is very nice and is marked with a 7 stamped on it for the size. The chin strap is also minty. The shell has a heavy wood chip texture under the paint which looks really nice. This transition M1917A1 would be heard to upgrade!
