This is a great WWII issued M1917 A1 helmet. This
helmet was bought from a picker who got it directly from the WWII Marine
Vet. I am trying to get the the vets name from the picker. The
top pin is missing so the liner is not attached by the shell. The
early first pattern chin strap is intact. There is a white cross
painted on the front which is WWII period done but I am not sure what it
means. This helmet was the forerunner to the M1 helmets and was worn
by the US Marines in the Pacific theater. Click on the picture below

small moth holes on the blue bottom. The owner's name, Leutnant Goetz
Bangert, along with his field post number under his name, is written on the

Here is a nice WW II Japanese imperial army helmet. I
bought this Japanese T-90 helmet along with the Japanese canteen at a recent
estate auction. they were probably from the same solder so I am
selling them together. The helmet is missing the liner and the
Imperial Japanese army canteen has a broken shoulder strap. This
helmet and canteen was probably taken from a dead solder because the
Japanese did not surrender but fought to the death. The helmet shell
is marked with a star stamp and the kanji Dai which translated means "big".
A great addition to any headgear collection. Click on the picture
below to see more images. $495
