Luftwaffe Flak Regiment Schellenbaum Banner
I am very proud to be able to offer this spectacular Luftwaffe Flak Regiment Schellenbaum flag. The schellenbaum (bell tree) flag was a type of standard which hung on the ancient bell instrument carried in front of a marching during parades. These flags are extremely rare and real ones seldom come up for sale. This one the front bares a high relief bullion luft. eagle on red and white silk. The back has the name flack Regiment 14 3rd Abt. in roman numerals. The first 2 II have been removed for some reason possibly to change it to 1st Abt. because it looks like it was removed during the period. This banner is suspended by bullion braded cords on a bar with silver ends which have darkened to a beautiful blue-gray patina.
